We believe in making a real difference for people and the planet
Our impact initiatives include the Banyan Software Foundation, dedicated to leveraging technology for a greener and more equitable world, and employee programs that foster growth, development, and community engagement. Together, these initiatives bring our vision to life: building a company that not only provides the best permanent home for businesses, but also makes a greater positive impact on the world.
Banyan Software Foundation
Leveraging technology for a greener and more equitable world
Rooted in Banyan’s core values, our mission is to invest in people, education, and innovative solutions that create lasting, measurable change. From supporting smallholder farmers with AI tools to helping underserved communities access education and work, we focus on impact that grows with purpose.
Endowed with a $100 million commitment of stock, the Banyan Software Foundation will become one of the company’s largest shareholders. This unique structure allows the Foundation’s impact to grow alongside the company’s own growth.

PROGRAMS IN MOTION
Supporting global initiatives
for equity and sustainability

TransitionZero develops data tools that help low and middle income countries plan and finance their clean energy transitions. With a $1M multi-year grant from the Foundation, they are advancing the Solar Asset Mapper, a machine learning tool that maps solar assets worldwide and provides governments and grid operators with the insight needed to integrate renewable energy and plan for a sustainable future.

Merit America is dedicated to helping the 53 million Americans without college degrees who are stuck in low-wage jobs. Through certified online courses combined with personalized coaching and support, their learners see wages increase on average from $26K to $50K within just three months of graduation. The Foundation’s $1M multi-year grant will support 250 learners in the Zero Percent Loan program, focusing on high-demand fields such as IT Support, Data Analytics, UX Design, Cybersecurity, and Project Management.

Digital Green is a global environmental NGO using AI and digital extension to empower smallholder farmers with hyperlocal, data-driven support. Its FarmerChat platform applies generative AI to deliver climate-smart, context-specific advice helping farmers improve yields, reduce risk, and raise incomes by up to 24 %. With our grant, Digital Green aims to scale FarmerChat to reach and benefit 2 million farmers over the next two years.

Catch22 is a UK-based social enterprise that supports people facing deep barriers, such as justice involvement, mental health challenges, or care leaver status, to build stable, meaningful employment. Through tailored coaching, training, and employer partnerships, the Foundation’s grant will help Catch22 assist 370 individuals over two years to enter future-focused sectors with sustainable career paths.

Kiron is democratizing access to education for refugees, migrants, and underserved learners. Since 2015, it has reached over 175,000 learners globally, and its flagship THRIVE upskilling program will be supported by our grant to target women with forced migration experience across the DACH region. THRIVE equips participants with in-demand tech and language skills, connects them to mentoring and employer networks, and helps them translate resilience into career opportunity.

“While our mission has always been to nurture our businesses and people, we knew we could be doing more to have a greater positive impact. We wanted to do something significant and make this a core part of who we are as an organization, including at the ownership level.”
