Banyan Software Deepens Dutch Presence with Acquisition of Anago

Netherlands-based planning software company brings 25+ years of public sector expertise to Banyan’s growing European presence

Banyan Software, a leading acquirer and operator of mission-critical software businesses, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Anago BV, a Netherlands-based provider of planning and resource optimization software that helps public organizations streamline their processes to serve people more efficiently.

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Den Bosch, Anago has built more than 25 years of deep expertise in public sector planning challenges. The company’s modular, low-code software platform designed with the philosophy “Go for Impact”, helps public institutions improve the experience of public services for millions of people. From enabling asylum seekers to gain faster access to clearer updates on their status, to helping children receive preventive care earlier and schools organise education more effectively.

Anago is recognized for its close integration with client operations, long-standing customer relationships, and strong presence in the education sector, which represents approximately 70 percent of its recurring revenue. The company serves a diverse range of public organizations including educational institutions, healthcare providers, and local government agencies.

After more than two decades of building Anago with our team and our customers, we knew it was important to find a long-term home that shared our values and commitment to impact. We found in Banyan a partner who shares our focus on stability, people, and purpose, values that align with our mission to help public organizations service people more efficiently. We are excited to move into this next chapter together, continuing our work to improve public services while having the opportunity to grow and strengthen our impact.

Ninette van der Velden, CEO and Thomas de Nooij, Founder & CTO at Anago

We’ve been inspired by the Anago’s “Go for Impact” philosophy and the meaningful role their platform plays across education, healthcare, and local government. From our earliest conversations, we were impressed by the company’s deep expertise and commitment to supporting public-sector institutions in their essential work. We look forward to supporting Anago over the long term and helping the team build on what has already made the business so successful.
